WOMEN'S RETREAT 2024

May 17, 2024 to May 18, 2024

All Day

What is born out of our thinking? What effect do our thoughts have on our lives — on how we feel, what we do, and who we become? God has so much to say in His Word about our thoughts and our minds — He tells us to renew our minds, that we can set our minds on certain things, and that we can choose what things we will think about. In this truth lays the essence of this year's Women's Retreat, "Arise in Hope."

Our speaker for this event is our own Julie Davis! She has been leading women’s groups, Bible studies and book clubs for over 15 years. Julie loves God’s Word and has spent her life dedicated to growing in wisdom at the feet of Jesus.

Julie will be leading women to the Word and answering the question: how do we “arise In hope?” She will be sharing how to practically live in hope and manage anxiety no matter what season of life you are in. We will look at the Scriptures to see how God answers these questions and examine the tools He has given us to move away from anxious thoughts and set our minds instead on the hope that is Jesus Christ. Additionally, there will be breakouts and worship to enrich your pursuit of Christ.

If you have the opportunity to arrive in Grove City early, there are a lot of “on your own” activities which you can enjoy with friends prior to checking in at the hotel. While the formal retreat will begin at 6pm, you may check-in to your hotel at 3pm and enjoy their amenities, visit with friends, or take a nap — whatever you want! There will be a buffet breakfast on Saturday morning, followed by a great day of scheduled sessions all wrapping up around lunch time. You do not want to miss this time away to link arms with sisters in Christ as we get to know each other better and pursue our Savior more closely!
